Student Support Services program has been funded to assist participants with enhancing their academic skills, increase their retention and graduation rates by promoting both graduates and professional school programs.

Services

Academic Advising

Assistance with all aspects of educational planning and scheduling each quarter. This includes:
  • Instruction regarding the registration system
  • Advice on the prerequisite courses and minors
  • Valuable strategies for maintaining and improving your outcomes
  • Helping you in enhancing your study skills
  • Advising you about your Career and financial aid, etc.

Personal Advising

This includes assistance with any concerns that have the potential to place a student in academic jeopardy. Advisors provide:

  • Support
  • Encouragement and advocacy
  • Appropriate campus or community referrals
  • Assistance with course or term withdrawal, as needed.

Cultural Enrichment Activities

Co-curricular events and activities to increase cultural awareness and build community are offered each semester.

Adjusting to the new life at UG can be difficult due to various factors and affect you, new students, academically, emotionally, and financially as you'll be coming to a new city, a new home, and a new higher learning environment with new expectations all at the same time.
You do not have to worry, your mates either classmates or seniors will be always there for you.
